Maija Kiviluoto

Maija Kiviluoto’s collaboration with Petri Kekoni started in 2003 whilst studying contemporary dance (MA) at the University of the Arts, Helsinki, and she has been dancing in many of Kekoni’s works ever since. Maija is also a co-founder of Liikkeen puolesta ry, the non-profit association behind the dance company, founded in 2007. During her career, she has collaborated with many independent artists and dance companies both in Finland and abroad, and dance has taken her all over the world. The Finnish Cultural Foundation has granted her twice an annual grant for her artistic work. Since 2015, Maija has lived in London with her family. Alongside dance, she also works as a yoga teacher.
