Eero Vesterinen
Dancer
Eero Vesterinen has danced professionally since 2003, after having studied dance at the Finnish National Opera Ballet School and the Theatre Academy Department of Dance. Over the years, Eero has danced in close to 90 premieres by numerous choreographers, mostly as a freelancer in his home city of Helsinki. In addition to Petri Kekoni, important artists along the way have included Tommi Kitti, Jyrki Karttunen, Jenni Kivelä, Carl Knif, Tero Saarinen, Johanna Nuutinen and Valtteri Raekallio. From 2011 to 2012, Eero was engaged as a dancer at Skånes Dansteater in Malmö, and from 2012 to 2015 he was a member of Helsinki Dance Company at the City Theatre of Helsinki. However, at heart, Eero seems to prefer working as freelancer. He first collaborated with Petri Kekoni in 2003 by stepping in for another dancer in the work The Tempest_03, after which he has worked with Kekoni regularly on multiple premieres, most recently in 369° in 2019. Eero enjoys sweating and reading, though not at the same time.
